KeyLoft's Settings screen (More → Settings) is where you configure everything from iCloud backup to app security to notification preferences. Here's a complete walkthrough of every setting available.
App Lock & Security
Under the Security section in Settings, you can enable App Lock to require Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode whenever KeyLoft is opened. This protects your tenant and financial data if your phone is accessed by someone else.
To enable App Lock:
- Go to More → Settings
- Tap App Lock under Security
- Authenticate to confirm your identity
- App Lock is now active
App Lock requires Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode to be set up on your device first.
Daily Digest Notifications
The Daily Digest setting lets you choose to receive one morning briefing notification instead of individual alerts throughout the day. Toggle it on or off and select the delivery time (from 6 AM to 9 PM in one-hour increments). This is helpful for staying informed without being interrupted constantly.
Rent Reminder Configuration
Under Rent Reminders in Settings, configure which automated reminder emails are sent to tenants:
- 3 Days Before Due — a friendly heads-up
- 1 Day Before Due — a last-chance reminder
- Past Due Notice — sent when rent is overdue
Each reminder can be toggled on or off independently. These emails are sent from KeyLoft and include your configured payment links. Requires Pro and a tenant email address on file.
iCloud Backup & Sync (Data Sync & Retention)
Go to More → Settings → Data Sync & Retention to configure iCloud options. KeyLoft uses iCloud to sync your data across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac — and to keep a backup in case you need to reinstall. Your data travels through Apple's encrypted iCloud infrastructure and is never stored on KeyLoft's servers.
Options in Data Sync & Retention include:
- iCloud backup toggle
- Data display period (how far back to show data in lists and reports)
- Data management (delete specific data types)
We recommend enabling iCloud backup before deleting and reinstalling the app. Without a backup, data stored locally will be permanently deleted.
Calendar Sync Settings
Go to More → Settings → Calendar Settings to sync KeyLoft due dates and events to your iOS Calendar app. When enabled, lease expirations, rent due dates, and task deadlines can appear in your native calendar alongside all your other appointments.
CSV Exports, QuickBooks, and Xero Pro
Go to More → Documents → Export Data to export your data in multiple formats:
- CSV — universal format for importing into any spreadsheet or tool
- QuickBooks — formatted for direct import into QuickBooks Desktop or Online
- Xero — formatted for direct import into Xero accounting software
Pro is required for all export formats beyond basic CSV.
Profile Management
Access your profile by tapping your name at the top of the More screen. Update your full name and business name, which appear on PDF leases, invoices, and any generated documents.
Subscription Management
Under Subscription in Settings, you can view your current plan, see trial days remaining, and manage your subscription. Subscriptions are managed through Apple — tap Manage Subscription to open Apple's subscription management page where you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.
To restore a subscription on a new device, tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID used to subscribe.
Task Auto-Generation Settings
The task auto-generation settings (accessible through Settings) let you control which automatic tasks KeyLoft creates for you. You can enable or disable specific task types — for example, turning off vacancy alerts if you prefer to manage vacancies manually.

Multiple Currencies
All financial features — expenses, revenue, invoices, reports, and forecasts — display amounts in your selected currency. Go to Settings → Currency to change it at any time. The app supports 95+ currencies organized by region:
- Americas — USD, CAD, MXN, BRL, ARS, CLP, COP, PEN, UYU, CRC, DOP, GTQ, JMD, TTD
- Europe — EUR, GBP, CHF, SEK, NOK, DKK, PLN, CZK, HUF, RON, BGN, HRK, RSD, UAH, RUB, GEL, TRY, ISK
- Middle East — AED, SAR, QAR, KWD, BHD, OMR, JOD, ILS, EGP, IQD, LBP
- South Asia — INR, PKR, BDT, LKR, NPR
- East & Southeast Asia — JPY, CNY, KRW, TWD, HKD, SGD, MYR, IDR, PHP, THB, VND, MMK, KHR
- Central Asia — UZS, KZT, KGS, TJS, TMT, AZN, AMD
- Oceania — AUD, NZD, FJD
- Africa — ZAR, NGN, KES, GHS, TZS, UGX, ETB, MAD, XOF, XAF, RWF, MZN, BWP, MUR, ZMW
When you change the currency, all existing records, reports, and invoices update to display in the new currency symbol and format. No data is lost — only the display changes.
Currency is a display preference, not a conversion. If you switch from USD to EUR, a $100 expense will show as €100. For actual currency conversion, use your bank or accounting software.
